1. Дилер на денежном рынке (money-market), который ведет операции с государственными (первоклассными) ценными бумагами; на лондонских рынках они появились после реформы в октябре 1986 г. (Big Bang (“Биг Бэнг”)). Такие дилеры ведут непосредственные операции с Банком Англии, который наблюдает за их деятельностью, и при необходимости могут запрашивать о покупке первоклассных ценных бумаг, выпускаемых по мере предъявления спроса. На них также лежит обязанность поддерживать рынок всех государственных ценных бумаг. В 1986 г. действовало 27 первичных дилеров; в 1992 г. их число сократилось до 20. К ним в определенной мере перешла роль правительственного брокера (government broker). Их часто называют дилерами с первоклассными ценными бумагами (gilt-edged dealers).
